About Elaine Conrad:

"For over thirty years, this self-described Wopsylady

has been interested in preserving

the history of the Wopsononock Railroad and Resort,

a narrow gauge railroad and tourist attraction once located

near Altoona, Pennsylvania.  Sadly, few artifacts, photos and souvenirs remain.

Some prized acquisitions obtained from local flea markets, Ebay auctions,

and Xerox copies from reading old newspapers on film at the

Blair County Genealogical Society

 in Hollidaysburg, PA have provided bits and pieces of the

Wopsy History puzzle, many of which appear on these Web Pages.

 However,  the history is far from complete.

It is my hope to acquire even more pieces of the puzzle in order to provide

a complete and accurate accounting for interested future historians."
