"I get an error saying I can't log on to server 127.0.0.1" This error is caused by the mail server Norton Antivirus sets up on your computer not responding properly. Norton, as a matter of providing extra protection from virus sent via email, checks your mail, scans it, then makes it available on and email server on your local computer - also known as localhost or 127.0.0.1. Sometimes the Norton mail server malfunctions for whatever unknown reason. When this happens, the easiest option is to restore the normal setting in Outlook Express and let Norton re-configure itself and the mail client later. You may discover that even this does not solve the problem. In this case, disable Norton's email protection option. (Your computer will still be protected from viruses, just scanning on email as it arrives will be disabled.) To Resolve the Problem:
