RAS Error 678
678 - There is no answer.
This may be caused by an incorrect telephone number, the modem failing to negotiate a connection, or a busy signal
- Verify the telephone number is correct.
- Try calling the telephone number to verify it isn't busy. You should get a schreeching whine after a moment, this is a modem.
- Get an initialisation string for your modem from tech support, and/or update your modem drivers. Adding an init string to lower the speed or modulation may help your modem to cope with the line conditions, allowing it to achieve a connection.
