Deleting Outlook Express Mailboxes
Sometimes it is necessary to delete Outlook
Express's mailboxes. I've only had one case of this, so it's fairly
rare. Use these instructions with caution.
-
Click on Start
-
Click on Find
-
Click on Files or Folders
-
In the Named box, type *.dbx
-
In the Look in: box, type
C:\
-
Click the Find Now button
-
Delete the appropriate files.
The files themselves are named by the mailbox names. The folders they
are in are determined by the user.
-
Close the Find window when
you are completed.
-
When you restart Outlook Express,
it should reconstruct the deleted folders to an initial, empty state.
