Repeated Login Prompts
If you have an account on the Pennswoods classified ads, and you find that it repeatedly takes you back to the login screen when you login and try to place an ad, do the following:
- If you're using Internet Explorer:
- With Internet Explorer running, click Tools, then Internet Options
- In the section labeled Temporary Internet Files, Click the Settings button.
- Put a dot in the box labled Every visit to the page and click OK.
- Click the Delete Files button.
- Put a check in the box labeled Delete all offline content and click OK. Be patient, as it may take a while to delete all of the temporary file, and you will get an hourglass while this is happening.
- Click the Delete Cookies button, and click OK when it asks you to confirm it. This also may take awhile.
- Click OK, close Internet Explorer, and then open it again and try placing your ad on the classifieds again.
- If all of the above fails, you will need to try using a different web browser to access the classifieds.

- First off, if you're using Netscape 4, you must use the latest version, 4.8, with the classifieds, as previous versions are known to exhibit strange behaviour with our classifieds. You can download it by clicking here. Or, you can contact our tech support department and request it on CD.
- With the browser running, click Edit, then Preferences.
- On the left-hand side, click the [+] beside Advanced to expand the list, and click on Cache.
- Put a dot in the box beside the option labeled Every time.
- Click the button labeled Clear Disk Cache, and then click OK.
- Close and reopen Netscape, and return to the classifieds and try placing your ad.
- If none of the above solve the problem, you will need to try using a different web browser to access the classifieds.
