How do I make it so that my computer connects to the internet when I first turn it on?
For Windows XP:
- Click Start, then Control Panel
- If you're in Category View, Click Network and Internet Connections, then Network Connections
- If you're in Classic View, double-click Network Connections
- Right-click your Pennswoods.net icon, and choose Create Shortcut, and then click Yes when asked if you would like to place the shortcut on the desktop.
- Close all open windows. Find the new Pennswoods.net shortcut on the desktop, right-click it, and choose Cut
- Click Start, then All Programs, and then right-click on the Startup folder, and choose Explore.
- Right-click on the right pane of the window, and choose Paste.
For Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000
- Double-click on My Computer, then Dial-Up Networking.
- For Windows ME, you double click My Computer, then Control Panel, and then Dial-up Networking
- For Windows2000, click Start, Settings, and then Network and Dial-up Connections
- Right-click on your Pennswoods.net icon, choose Create Shortcut, and click Yes when asked if you would like to place the shortcut on your desktop.
- Close all open windows, find the new pennswoods.net shortcut on your desktop, right-click on it, and choose Cut.
- Right-click on the Start button, and choose Explore.
- Click the "+" sign beside Programs, and click on the Startup folder.
- Right-click in the right window pane, and choose Paste.
