Setting Up the Dialup Connection

When you start up the Web Browser CD, the Dreamcast will give you the option to set up your own ISP. Click on the choice for setting up your own ISP and proceed with the following steps. After loading the Sega Dreamcast Passport Browser, you'll see this screen. Hit Start to enter the menu.

Using the arrow cursor choose the OPTIONS button on the bottom right and then press the A button.

Use the arrow cursor to select Internet Connection

Fill out the Basic Info screen.
Use the cursor and the A button select the Your Real Name box and type in your name using the keyboard that is visible on the screen.
Use the cursor and A button to select other fields. Fill them in as such:

User Login is your Pennswoods.net user name. In the
Password is your password
Dialup Number is your local dial-up number. Leave the area code section blank. Click here for a list of local numbers.
DNS1 is 205.247.236.151
DNS2 is 205.247.236.148

Press the CLOSE button on the lower right of the keyboard to remove it from the screen. Press the OK button.

Setting Up Email

Use the arrow cursor to select Email Account

Fill in the form as so:

Email Login your pennswoods.net user name
Email Password your password
Email Address username@pennswoods.net *NOTE: To type in an "@" symbol you first have to click the (SHIFT) button then the "2" key.
Incoming Mail Server (POP3) mail.pennswoods.net
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) mail.pennswoods.net

Press OK

Save the settings to the console memory by pressing the SAVE button at the bottom of the screen.

Your Dreamcast is now configured to access the internet via Pennswoods.net. To connecto to the internet, press ENTER on the main Sega Dreamcast Network screen. To check your email, press the (EMAIL) button. For other questions, refer to your Dreamcast manuals or Sega technical support.
