Pennswoods Dial-Up Accelerator
The following instructions are for installing on a
machine with Macintosh OS/X.
Installation.
The minimum system requirements are a Mac running OS
10.1 - 10.3 and at least 5.3MB of hard-drive space. It works with almost
any web browser, including Internet Explorer, Netscape Communicator, Safari,
or any Mozilla-based web browser.
1. Download.
2. Install
- After downloading the Pennswoods.net Internet
Accelerator disk image onto your Desktop, an icon labeled "setup.dmg"
as shown below will be on your Desktop. Double-clicking on the icon
will open the disk image.
- This will bring up the screen below. Double
click on the icon "SlipStream Web Accelerator.pgk" in the new window.
- The installer will guide you through the complete
setup process.
3. Connect
- As this is your first time launching the product,
you will be prompted for a username and password. Enter the username
and password provided to you by Pennswoods.net in the fields provided.
- Click OK. Pennswoods.net Internet Accelerator will
connect to Pennswoods.net.
- After installing Pennswoods.net Internet Accelerator,
an icon as shown below is placed in your dock (a program bar typically
found at the bottom of your screen). Opening any web browser launches
Pennswoods.net Internet Accelerator.
4. Browse the web.
- Browse the web as you normally would.
- When finished, simply close your web browser, as
you normally would, and Pennswoods.net Internet Accelerator willremain
idle in your doc.
